Windthorst native Conner Deen was hired as the Second Assistant District Attorney for the 97th District Court at the beginning of January. Deen previously served as Archer County Assistant County Attorney under David Levy from May 2024 until November 2024, though he had worked in that office since May 2022.

An Archer City man was found guilty on two charges, indecency with a child by exposure and indecency with a child by sexual contact, by a jury of his peers on Thursday, Jan. 29.
