Body The city council of Archer City approved making Hyper-Reach as its new emergency alert system at a cost of $500 per year during its meeting Thursday, April 21. County Emergency Management Coordinator Shane Wright presented the information to the council.

Body District Attorney of the 97th Court, Casey Hall, announced her office had reached plea deal of manslaughter on April 12 for Saconn Ayala in the death of John Lewis Helms. Ayala was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
