Holliday City Council tables tiny houses

Body
The first item of new business last Monday night at the Holliday City Council meeting was discussion, consideration and action on an Ordinance concerning “Tiny Houses.” Coming up with a definition for a tiny house for the purposes of an ordinance proved challenging. What impact the structures would have on the community was uncertain.

How Easily We Forget

Body
There aren’t many things as fickle as our memories, especially in times of hardships. The Israelites in Exodus seem to be the biggest bunch of ungrateful people you could imagine. They had just witnessed God save them by sending plagues on the Egyptians, parting the Red Sea, turning bitter water sweet from a log, making manna appear out of nowhere, having water come from a rock and many more things. Even in all of these impossible scenarios, we continue to see the people of God complain, whine, and wonder if God cares for them.

Community blesses Stephens family with funds and support

Body
Last weekend the North Texas community rallied around the Cody and Candace Stephens family of Archer City, raising over $50,000 with a cornhole tournament, meal, silent auction and live auction. The goal was to raise funds to help the Stephens family cover expenses incurred in a series of unfortunate events and show them support to lift them up in a difficult season.
