The Windthorst ISD school board approved an amended District of Innovation Plan during its board meeting on Monday, Oct. 13.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court elected to take no action on placing a speed limit on Davis Road during its meeting on Monday, Oct. 13.

Head volleyball coaches Allison Bussey and Krissa England go back a long way. In 2005, Allison Bussey, then Schreiber, finished up her stellar career at Windthorst High School and attended Midwestern State University, where she played setter on a team that finished 26-12.

The Archer County Museum and Arts Center hosted 4th and 7th graders from across the county at multiple historic Archer County sites as part of the first of its kind bus tour on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

The Archer City ISD 18+ program for special education students who have completed high school and are now focusing on building independence, vocational skills and community engagement. The students, Jesse Berend and Madi Chatwell, participate in a variety of activities of designed to prepare them for adult life.

The Archer County 4-H Dairy Judging team recently placed 15th in the nation at the 4-h National Dairy Cattle Judging Contest in Madison, Wis., on Sunday, Sept. 28.
