Archer County Judge Randy Jackson announced the county had 98 positive cases with five of them being active as of Tuesday, Oct 13. The county also has reported one COVID-19 related fatality.

In the interest of student and staff health and safety, Holliday ISD has sent home several students from its High School and Middle School to quarantine based on confirmed COVID-19 cases and exposures, according to a release from Superintendent Cody Carrol.

Atmos Energy gives $2 million to help feed school children

Senate District 30 headed to runoff election

The Special Election in Texas Senate District 30 to replace the seat vacated by Pat Fallon resulted in two of the six candidates qualifying for runoff election on a date to be announced. Drew Springer got 31.83% of the votes and Shelley Luther got 31.7% of the votes across the 14 counties in the district.
