Body The 53rd annual Archer County Junior Livestock Show promises to be equal to or better than past shows, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be some scheduling changes to help avoid packed in crowds in the show barn.

Body Archer County Judge Randy Jackson reported on Monday, Dec. 28, that the county has seen 100 case increase in total COVID-19 cases in a two-week time period and the county will remain unexempt from GA-29 including a facial covering mandate which was issued by Governor Greg Abbott.

Body In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Archer City ISD is experiencing setbacks while striving to keep everything as normal as possible. It was reported at the meeting the Wildcat boys’ basketball team had been quarantined due to exposure to a positive case.

Body The Sheriff’s Office received 89 Calls for Service during the past seven day period ending Sunday, Dec. 20. On the day of this report there were 29 individuals incarcerated in the Archer County Jail consisting of 25 men and four women.
