The City of Holliday's annual Christmas Parade was Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. The theme this year was "Christmas Movie". First place float was Country Campus. Second place was Compassion Church Hollidays. First place individual was Kayla Shelton Second place was Zachary Rhodes.

The Texas General Store in Grapevine has been named the Best Decorated Store for Christmas in Grapevine for the 5th straight year. Store owner Jessica Cruz is the daughter of Jerry and Margaret Smith of Scotland, and the granddaughter of the late Frank and Pauline Vieth, longtime residents of Scotland.
