The Holliday City Council moved to assemble a committee “whose goal will be to research rules and regulations of the construction and regulations of RV Parks” on Monday, June 10. This decision came after last Monday’s Public Hearing over the annexation of the property located at FM 368 (901 N. West Ave), which was planned to be an RV Park built by Dylan Rogers.

This last weekend concluded the Archer County Museum’s second annual Jailbird Fundraiser. The museum rounded up 80 individuals from around Archer County to turn themselves in and be imprisoned in the 1910 Archer County Jail. While most of the fundraiser was virtual, several jailbirds gathered on Friday to get their photos taken in the old jail.

Well, I have been in Archer for a year now. I’ve had the chance to meet a lot of people. There are still many that I haven’t. In due time! St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Windthorst celebrated its 132nd Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 2.

The Holliday City Council held a public hearing on Monday, June 3, over the annexation request of Dylan Rogers for a property that he plans on turning into an RV park. Citizens were asked to attend the hearing to ask Rogers and the council any questions and address any concerns over the annexation.

Four Archer County Republican Party delegates recently returned from the Texas GOP Convention held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.

Zach Rowe and new board member Josh Winter were sworn into office during the Archer City ISD School Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 28. Incumbent Rowe and Winter ran unopposed to earn the terms as school board members.
