Tuesday, March 9 Holliday 10, Jacksboro 0 Holliday senior Hadley Harrigal (2-1) tossed the Eagles’ second no-hitter in the last two weeks in a 10-0 rout of Jacksboro. The right-hander needed just 74 pitches to complete the feat, allowing two walks while punching out eight.

Tuesday, March 2 Archer City 13. Nocona 1 Bailey Grant went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI to pace the Lady Cats to a 13-1 win over Nocona.

Archer City’s Jill Liles and Cade Strickland placed second in mixed doubles and Chase Curry received third in boys singles at the Wildcats’ season-opening tournament in Vernon on March 1. Layne Briggs and Luke Haehn were eliminated by the first-place team in a tiebreaker and elected to return to baseball rather than playing the third place match.

The Holliday Lady Eagles and Windthorst Trojanettes earned season-opening victories at the City View Glen Eickman Relays and the Panther Pride Relays in Seymour, respectively. Holliday finished with 276 points, outpacing second-place Henrietta (122) by over 150 points.
