Archer City survived a late surge by Munday (37) to clinch a share of the district championship on Friday, Nov. 4, with a 41-27 victory. The Wildcats split the district championship with Windthorst and Seymour but due to tiebreaker scenarios, enter the postseason as the league’s No. 2 seed.

Trojanettes make triumphant return to regional tournament

For the first time since 2018, the Trojanettes are heading back to the regional tournament. Windthorst dispatched Sonora (25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21) in the area round on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Jim Ned before sweeping Hamilton (2517, 25-14, 27-25) in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Weatherford to punch their ticket to San Angelo.
