Thursday, March 3 Archer City 8, Rider 3 Emma Gray went 3-for- 3 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBI while Aspyn Huseman, Mallory Maxwell and Jill Liles all collected multi-hit games as Archer City (1-1) opened up the Iowa Park Tournament with an 8-3 win over Rider. Liles (1-0) picked up her first win of the year in the circle, allowing three runs on nine hits with no walks and a strikeout over 6.0 innings.

Thursday, March 3 Iowa Park 6, Holliday 2 The Eagles (1-1) opened up the American Cancer Society tournament with a 6-2 setback to Iowa Park. Hawks first baseman Ty Cunningham staked Iowa Park an early 3-0 lead with a three-run bomb in the bottom of the first.

Archer County will be in high demand of basketball coaches during the offseason after last week saw quite the shakeup. Archer City head girls coach Amy Huseman is hanging up her whistle for good after 20 years of coaching.
