Track season is off to a hot-start for Holliday and Windthorst. The Lady Eagles have won multiple meets already this season and appear to be a regional front-runner once again. The Trojanettes return everyone from last year’s team that won the district championship.

Thursday, March 17 Archer City 10, Seymour 0 Chris Allen belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first and Archer City (3-5, 1-0) never looked back in a 10-0 shutout of Seymour to begin district play.

After finishing second in district the previous three years, Archer City Head Track and Field coach Donny Gray has his sights set on taking home a district crown. “My ultimate goal is to compete for a district championship,” Gray said.

In his first season as head coach, Archer City’s Zac Dunnam is teaching the Wildcats how fun the game of baseball can be. While a deep postseason run that ends in Austin is always the ultimate goal, the Archer City skipper hopes to have a little fun along the way.
