My name is Emma McKnight. I am in the 10th grade at Holliday High School. I hold the office of Vice President in the Holliday 4-H club. I participate in activities ranging from Ag Product ID, to Showing goats. The vice president is in charge of making sure everything goes smoothly. For example if the president is absent, they are in charge of running the meeting, as well as filling in for anyone else when needed. I enjoy being a part of the leadership committee because it allows me to help others, and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Parents raised concerns about recent drug incidents and communication around them during the public comment section of the Archer City ISD School Board meeting on Monday, April 24. Archer City ISD administration sent an email out to parents on Friday, March 31, to inform them of potential contraband concerns at the high school.

Mayo, Schroeder compete at state tennis After a surprising run through the Region II-2A tennis tournament last week, Archer City’s mixed doubles tandem of Kline Mayo and Sara Schroeder took to the courts at the UIL State Tennis Tournament at the Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio on Tues., April 25. “I’ve been so impressed with Kline and Sara’s drive through the whole season,” Archer City tennis coach Haley Owen said.
