The Holliday Lady Eagles are off to a hot start in district play. After holding off the Jacksboro Tigerettes earlier this month, head coach Billy Arbogast and his crew had another tough task ahead of them for their next set of district games.

The Holliday Eagles opened district play with one of the toughest opponents in the state, the Iowa Park Hawks. The Hawks, who are just off a trip to the 3A-D1 state semifinals, returned nearly all their players from that team and are geared for another deep playoff run.

Wildcats pick up win

Over Spring Break, the Archer City Wildcats picked up a pair of impromptu baseball games to keep the skills honed as district rolls around. Their first matchup came against the Class 4A Bridgeport Bulls on Tuesday, March 10. Their second clash was versus the Chico Dragon Friday, March 13.

Senior Sensation: Schreiber Poised for Historic Year

Windthorst senior Conner Schreiber is one of the best pitchers in the area in recent memory. In the last three seasons on the hill for the Trojans, the southpaw has accumulated over 300 strikeouts, and never had an ERA above 1.35 in his three seasons.

Wildcats Counting on Canada’s Leadership

For his senior season as an Archer City Wildcat, Shooter Canada has been the go-to athlete the team leaned on when they needed a play made. Whether it be as the anchor of the offensive and defensive line this past football season, to one of the few seniors on the upcoming baseball team, Canada has had to shoulder a heavy burden.
