Track season is off to a hot-start for Holliday and Windthorst. The Lady Eagles have won multiple meets already this season and appear to be a regional front-runner once again. The Trojanettes return everyone from last year’s team that won the district championship.

Thursday, March 17 Archer City 10, Seymour 0 Chris Allen belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first and Archer City (3-5, 1-0) never looked back in a 10-0 shutout of Seymour to begin district play. The Wildcats went on to hammer out six runs in the fourth before a walk-off error allowed the ‘Cats to open league play out on the right foot.

Wildcats track and field have eyes set on district

In his first season as head coach, Archer City’s Zac Dunnam is teaching the Wildcats how fun the game of baseball can be. While a deep postseason run that ends in Austin is always the ultimate goal, the Archer City skipper hopes to have a little fun along the way.
