Body Holliday’s Addison Lindemann (22-2) once again dominated in the circle and Campbell Jurecek combined to go 5-for-5 across both games as the Lady Eagles (27-2) made quick work of Peaster, sweeping the Lady Grehounds 12-0 and 10-0 on Wednesday and Thursday in Bowie and Graham.

Body Archer City Senior Ty Bates was presented with the Marlon Meador Memorial Scholarship at the ACHS auditorium Sunday. Coach Terry Wolf presented the scholarship. Wolf taught Bates parents, Gary and Gretchen.

Body Friday, April 22 Archer City 18, Quanah 0 Archer City (13-6) clobbered Quanah 18-0 to secure at least a share of the District 9-2A crown. Ty Bates powered the Wildcats, going 3-for-3 with a homer, double, three runs scored and three RBI.

Body Holliday’s girls once again dominated the track circuit, sending 13 individuals to the regional meet on April 29-30 at Abilene Christian. The Lady Eagles posted winners in nine events, winning the 100, 200, 800, 1600, 3200, 4x100 Relay, 4x400 Relay, Shot Put and Discus.

Body Archer City has called on a pair of familiar faces to lead the boys and girls basketball programs following the resignation of Andrew Morris and retirement from coaching from Amy Huseman.

Body Holliday’s Makayla Smith shot 10 strokes better in her second round to earn a berth in the state tournament, firing a two-day total of 164 at the Region I-3A tournament on April 20-21 at Shady Oaks Golf Couse in Baird.
