Body For the second straight year, the Windthorst Trojanettes are champions of District 9-2A on the track circuit. Windthorst posted a team score of 196, topping second place Archer City by 80 points.

Body Friday, April 8 Holliday 4, Breckenridge 0 Holliday (22-2) moved within a game of clinching the District 7-3A title following a 4-0 blanking of Breckenridge. With another shutout, the Lady Eagles have yet to allow a run in district play.

Body Archer City’s Jill Liles and Chandler Clark won the girls doubles draw at the Region II-2A championship on Tuesday, April 12, to advance to the state tennis tournament. The pair is slated to compete again on April 26-27 in San Antonio.

Body Windthorst girls enter this week’s district championship fresh off a win at the Wildcat Relays on Thursday, March 31. The Trojanettes won the meet, beating Archer City by 69.5 points to take gold while the Lady Cats earned silver with 127.5.

Body Archer County golfers took to the links this past week with a trio of competitors advancing to the regional meet. On the girls side, Holliday’s Makayla Smith was the District 7-3A champion at River Creek Golf Course in Burkburnett on Wednesday, March 30.

Body Holliday saw two individuals and two doubles tandems win the District 7-3A tennis tournament on March 28-29 at Bowie. In addition to the four district champions, the Eagles are sending three more doubles teams to regionals.
