For the fifth straight year, the Holliday Eagles kicked off their football season with a win, trouncing Breckenridge at Buckaroo Stadium 43-0. This marks the second-straight season-opening shutout for the Eagles over the Buckaroos.

The Archer City Wildcats’ baseball program will welcome a new head coach for the upcoming 25-26 spring season as long-time coaching veteran Craig Coheley was hired in July to take the mantle. “I’m very excited to be, here” Coach Coheley said.
It was another week of tournament volleyball for Archer City, Windthorst, and Holliday. After home games for Archer City and Windthorst, and an away dual for Holliday on Tuesday, Aug. 19, all three competed in another volleyball-filled weekend.
Holliday Cross Country will have a big target on its back heading into the 2526 season. Both the Eagles (2nd) and the Lady Eagles (1st) are ranked in the top three for the 3A Pre-Season Poll by the Cross Country Coaches Association of Texas.
Being a wide receiver at Holliday High School has seen an uptick in usage over the last three years. For the longest time, the Eagles ran the Wing-T offense, a run-oriented offensive scheme that brought Holliday a ton of success on the gridiron.
For the third straight year, third-year head coach Kyle Atwood and his Holliday Eagles will have a different starting quarterback making plays for them, but Coach Atwood and his crew aren’t rattled by the change at all.
Holliday has a rich history of quality volleyball teams year-in and year-out, and long-time Lady Eagle Bennett Luig plans to maintain that consistency for her senior season. As one of the consistent faces around the program, Luig is coming off a junior year where she had 179 kills, 133 digs, and tied for a team-high 67 aces.
