Archer City competes in Haskell Relays

The Archer City Lady Cats’ and Wildcats’ track and field teams travelled to Haskell on Thursday, March 20 to run and throw in the Haskell Relays. Sophomore Makaylee McCown took home a silver medal in the high jump after she hit a height of 4-8.

In another installment in the rivalry between the Holliday Lady Eagles and the Henrietta Lady Cats, Henrietta took the first game in the series on Holliday’s home turf on Monday, March 17. Lady Pirates sink Lady Cats’ comeback

It was tough sailing for the Archer City Lady Cats on Thursday, March 13, falling to Petrolia in a late surge by the Lady Pirates to give the Black and Gold and 0-1 start to district. Petrolia took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first thanks to a two-run homer over the leftfield wall.
