Lady Eagles earn Silver

The 24-25 track season was about as perfect as it could get for the Holliday Lady Eagles. Including the district championship (fifth straight), area championship (fifth straight), and regional championship (fourth straight), the team swarmed the state meet for a silver, completing one of the best seasons in school history.

Lady Tigers scratch Trojanettes

The Windthorst Trojanettes’ underdog softball season came to an end on Friday, May 2, losing to the Whitewright Lady Tigers in the Area round of the playoffs. The young Trojanettes exhausted all efforts in both games, even nearly completing the comeback in Game 2.

Lady Cats outrun Tioga in marathon

In the best-of-three series between the Archer City Lady Cats and the Tioga Lady Bulldogs, the two teams combined for over 40 runs and 40 hits in the two games played on Thursday, May 1. Trojans battle Knights in pitching duels

It seems to be a repeating occurrence, but the Trojans 1-2 pitching duo of junior Conner Schreiber and freshman Aiden Stark continue to dazzle this season. Thursday, May 1, was no different as the two restricted Lindsay to a combined one run and 10 hits between the two games.

Wildcats fall to red-hot Indian bats

Picked to finish last. That was the district expectation for the Archer City Wildcats coming into the season. Just a season before, first-year head coach Collin White and his crew finished with just three wins. Fast forward a year later, the Wildcats nearly quadrupled their wins, and even secured a playoff spot. Although the season came to an abrupt end on Thursday, May 1 against the Nocona Indians, the ‘Crazy Cats’ season should be seen as resounding success.

Jim Ned outlasts Lady Eagles in Area round

The Holliday Lady Eagles’ playoff road was as tough as they come. After a tight 2-1 series win over Peaster, the undefeated district winner from District 8, in the Bi-District round a week prior, the Lady Eagles took on a strong Jim Ned Lady Indian team in the Area round on Saturday, May 3.

Lady Eagles pester Peaster

The Windthorst TrojThe Holliday Lady Eagles are in one of the toughest softball districts in the state. The District 7-3A softball is about as cutthroat as a district could be in the state of Texas. The top four teams in the district are perpetual playoff teams that usually make deep runs year-in and year-out.
