Eagles successful in rain-shortened tourney Holliday posted a 2-0 mark at the weather-shortened Windthorst Tournament. The Eagles blanked Olney 8-0 on Thurs., March 7, before finding the Trojans’ Achilles heel in an 11-4 win on Fri., March 8.

Tigerettes clip Lady Eagles Jacksboro hammered out 18 hits and scored nine runs over the final three innings to hand Holliday its first loss in District 7-3A action in a 15-2 decision. The Tigerettes hung crooked numbers in the second, third and fourth innings to take a 7-0 lead after five.

Freshman ace Addi Canada was lights-out from the mound in her first district softball game of her high school career, shutting out the Olney Lady Cubs in an 11-run romping by the Lady Cats on Tuesday, Mar. 5.
