County coaches change course

Archer County’s softball diamonds will look drastically more different in the coming season. Windthorst head coach Alyson Deatherage and Archer City head coach Mallory Mooney, former college teammates at Midwestern State, informed their respective districts their wish to resign. Both coaches accepted assistant positions, Deatherage at City View and Mooney at Keller Central.

It was another successful season on the baseball diamonds of Archer County. All three programs made the postseason with Holliday and Windthorst each advancing to the third round. These kids deserve all the recognition they can get for all their hard work.

It was another dominant season on the softball diamond for Archer County. Holliday gave the eventual state champs all they could handle, Windthorst went several rounds deep and Archer City continued its playoff streak. These kids deserve all the recognition they can get for all their hard work.

Longtime Eagles assistant moving on

It’s hard to imagine Holliday baseball without assistant Ryan Menasco. The Eagles’ longtime pitching coach elected to move on to the next chapter of his life in Littlefield where he will serve as a football and baseball assistant for the Wildcats.
