The Spartans Junior High combined together and played one game at Munday on Thursday, Oct. 3. The Spartans defeated Munday Junior High 30-0. The Spartans had two touchdown runs by John Crenshaw, and one by Stony Belz. Belz also threw a touchdown pass to Aiden Teague. Colton Berend ran a two-point conversion in, and Barrett Wolf caught a two-point conversion in the win. The Spartans will play Archer City Junior High on Thursday, Oct.10 at home. Good job Spartans.

The Holliday Boys’ and Girls’ track teams got the clean sweep at the district cross country meet in Burkburnett on Monday, Oct. 7, with the Boys’ nabbing six of the top-10 spots, while the Girls’ hoarded seven top-10 placements, both taking gold in the team scores.

The Archer City Lady Cats played one of their most complete volleyball games of the season against the Olney Lady Cubs on Tuesday, Oct. 1, bringing out the brooms after beating the hosting Lady Cubs 25-17, 25-14, and 25-21.

Archer City ISD administration recognized the hard work of its staff, students and community following last week’s announcement that Archer City Elementary School will be honored as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School.

Members of the 1964 Archer City Wildcats state championship football team will gather and take a look back at their memorable season on Saturday, Oct. 5th, at the Royal Theater in Archer City.

The Wildcat’s once again flexed their offensive muscles under the Friday Night Lights, this time in their first district game of the season. After making the trek to Munday to take on the Moguls on Friday, Sept. 27, the Archer City rushing attack punished their lowly opponents to the tune of 400 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, securing the first win in district 57-12.
