VB Roundup: Lady Cats, Lady Eagles, Trojanettes earn district wins

Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst all picked up key district wins this past week as the Lady Cats and Trojanettes both opened up league action. Archer City (5-25, 1-1) suffered a five-set loss in its district opener to Quanah (25-17, 25-20, 18-25, 17-25, 15-12) on Saturday before rebounding to knock off Petrolia (16-25, 25-23, 2225, 25-17, 15-12) in five on Tuesday.

XC Roundup: Strohman wins again in Round Rock

Holliday freshman Noah Strohman collected his fourth win of the season this weekend, winning the Hoka/McNeil Invitational 2022 on Friday, Sept. 23, with a time of 15:19.80. The event takes place at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, the site of the UIL State Cross Country Championships in early November. Strohman won the Class 1A-3A event by 15 seconds.

As part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program provides inclusive opportunities to youth ages 8-18 in grades 3-12 for personal growth, community service, and fun. Texas 4-H reaches around 500,000 youth per year.
