The filing deadline has passed for the March primaries and Archer County is already set to see three contested races and at least five new elected officials. Filing for the March primaries opened Nov.

Livestock Skill-AThon contestants rotated through a series of 10 stations with at 10 minutes each station covering livestock equipment, livestock breeds, feedstuff identification, meat judging, wool judging, feed tag knowledge, quality assurance, retail meat identification, hay judging, and an industry quiz.

District 8-2A Archer City Lady Cats The Lady Cats returned a lot of their roster from last year’s team, and saw a ton of improvement in terms of overall output on the court. The improvement cultivated in a 4-4 record in district play.
