The 18th-ranked Holliday Lady Eagles (14-3, 6-0) have done just that, posting their 11th-straight win by downing Childress in a 3-0 sweep on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Holliday.

The winning streak dates back to a 3-0 sweep of Burkburnett on Aug. 25. During the run, the Lady Eagles have dropped just one set – a 25-23 third set on the road at Henrietta – while winning 33. Currently, Holliday has won 16-straight sets.

Archer City opens district play with pair of sweeps

The Archer City Lady Cats (9-4, 2-0) started off District 9-2A play on the right foot, sweeping Petrolia in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-13) decision on Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Archer City before topping Goldburg on the road in another sweep (25-8, 25-16, 25-20) on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The No. 4 Windthorst Trojans erased a halftime deficit and made enough stops in the second half to hold off City View in a 39-34 thriller on Friday, Sept. 25. The Trojans improve to 5-0 following the win and set up a colossal showdown with second-ranked Hamlin this week.
