The Archer County Commissioner’s Court set quarantine guidelines for county employees and elected officials that have had close contact, showed symoptoms or have tested poitive for COVID-19 as cases continue to grow with the delta variant emergence.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court voted to approve an expenditure of approximately $153,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act to Archer M.U.D. and Windthorst Water Supply Corporation for back-up generators in a special called meeting Friday, Aug. 13.

The Archer Public Library Summer Reading Program ended at the end of July and the program saw growth in its participation. Librarian Gretchen Abernathy-Kuck said there were 23 readers with a total of 275 hours read.
