Archer City (4-24) got a whopping 37 digs out of senior Kadence Huffman while Jill Liles had a strong all-around game with seven kills, 18 digs and 20 assists.

Eagles overcome slow start in win over Childress, 28-14

After being on cruise control for the last three weeks, Holliday was hit with its first real moment of adversity in the first half against Childress. The second-ranked Eagles (4-0) nursed just a one-point lead at the half, up 7-6, before pulling away late for the 2814 win over the Bobcats.

Millsap pulls away late to hand Wildcats first loss, 39-21

Archer City’s offense was held in check for most of the night while Millsap utilized its depth to pull away from the Wildcats in the fourth quarter in the Bulldogs 39-21 win on Friday, Sept. 9. The Wildcats mustered just 150 yards of total offense and ran just 33 plays in the setback. Millsap wore out the Archer City defense, churning out 476 yards on the ground, led by Ryder Oliver with 230 yards and three scores on 25 totes. Reid Green added 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 17 carries.
