After a banner year by Archer County schools on the volleyball courts, district honors were announced for Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst. The Lady Cats (32-12) went unbeaten through District 9-2A and advanced to the regional semifinals.

7th Grade Windthorst 40, Quanah 4 Heidi Tackett led the way with 14 points and Jaylee Belcher added eight points as the Windthorst defense held the Lady Indians to just four points in a 40-4 win on Monday, Nov. 15.

Lady Eagles' season comes to an end in Regional Finals

For the second-straight year, Bushland proved too much for Holliday to handle, ending the Lady Eagles’ season in the regional finals. Losses in the postseason are never easy, no matter the circumstance, but there’s absolutely no shame in bowing out to a better team.
