The Holliday Lady Eagles’ volleyball season came to a heartbreaking conclusion on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Stephenville High School.

For the last 12 season, the Windthorst Trojans have won in the Bi-District round of the playoffs, and on Friday, Nov. 14, they secured lucky number 13 after a 40-point win over Clarendon in Vernon.

The Holliday Eagles returned to their usual winning ways on Friday, Nov. 14, sending the Longhorns home early in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.

The Holliday Eagles finished out the regular season with a homegame against long-time rival Jacksboro on Friday, Nov. 7.

Tuesday, Nov. 4 Archer City 3 Hico 0 For several weeks leading up to the Area round meeting, head volleyball coach Krissa England said the Lady Cats played well, but haven’t put together a complete game since their win over Graford back in September.

Thursday, Nov. 6 Windthorst 3 Miles 1 The Windthorst Trojanettes had their work cut out for them in their Regional Semis round matchup with Miles on Thursday.

Saturday, Nov. 8 Holliday 3 Odessa Compass Academy 0 In a rematch of the Regional Semis round from last season, the Lady Eagles were able to replicate their success with a 3-0 sweep over Lady Cougars.

The Archer City Wildcats’ football season came to a close on Friday, Nov. 7 against the Seymour Panthers.

Was there ever any doubt? The Windthorst Trojans dismantled the Petrolia Pirates for the District 6-2A title on Friday, Nov. 7.

The Holliday Lady Eagles rattled off a pair of 3-1 wins in their first two rounds of the volleyball playoffs, eliminating both the Early Lady Horns and the Comfort Deer en-route to the Regional Semifinals round.
