Jan. 11, 2022. That was the last time the Archer City Lady Cats defeated the Windthorst Trojanettes on the hardwood. Finally, after a little over four years, the Lady Cats claimed a victory over their Archer County rival.

The Windthorst Trojans put up a staggering 33 points in the second quarter alone in their roadgame versus the Archer City Wildcats on Friday, Feb. 6. They road that wave for the remainder of the game, leading to the 83-22 win.

Along with football, the UIL also released the district alignments for volleyball on Monday, Feb. 2. Archer City, Windthorst, and Holliday all saw an array of changes for the next two volleyball seasons.

The Archer City Wildcats went into Friday’s home-district game against Electra looking for their first district win of the season, but also seeked revenge on the Tigers after a questionable call led to a 41-39 loss in early January.

Both the Windthorst Trojans and Trojanettes achieved series sweeps over the Petrolia Pirates and Lady Pirates on Friday, Jan. 30.
