The Archer City Wildcats took on the Seymour Panthers in district action on Friday, Feb. 2. The 2-4 Wildcats were fighting for a playoff spot coming into the game and looked to make that jump over the fourthplace Petrolia Pirates, while the Panthers looked secure the second-place spot with a victory.

The 2024-2026 University Interscholastic League realignment and reclassification was released on Thursday, Feb. 1. The new realignment, which is based off the number of students in a school district, saw new districts and regions for football, basketball, and volleyball across all high school classifications in Texas.

The Windthorst Trojanettes welcomed the Petrolia Lady Pirates in district action on Tuesday, Jan 30. The 7-1 Trojanettes looked to strengthen their grasp on second place in district with a win over a Lady Pirates team that was fighting to keep their fourth-place spot. Petrolia kept the game close in the first quarter, but it was all Windthorst for the rest of the game, with the Trojanettes winning comfortably 77-21.
