With both teams starting their second half of district play, the Wildcats looked to bag their second win in district and continue to contend for the fourth-place spot that was held by the Petrolia Pirates, while Olney was still searching for their first win in district.

Windthorst halts Pirates

The Windthorst Trojanettes welcomed the Petrolia Lady Pirates in district action on Tuesday, Jan 30. The 7-1 Trojanettes looked to strengthen their grasp on second place in district with a win over a Lady Pirates team that was fighting to keep their fourth-place spot. Petrolia kept the game close in the first quarter, but it was all Windthorst for the rest of the game, with the Trojanettes winning comfortably 77-21.

The Windthorst Trojans looked to finish the first half of district on a win streak as they travelled to Olney to take on the Cubs, who were looking for their first win in district, on Friday, Jan 26. Windthorst struck fast in the first half and didn’t let up as they captured their third district victory 61-44.
