Windthorst stalls against No. 2 Hamlin, 14-0

Missed opportunities haunted the fourth-ranked Windthorst Trojans (5-1) in their 14-0 loss at home to second-ranked Hamlin. The Trojans pushed the ball deep into Pied Pipers’ territory on five separate occasions but were held out of the endzone.

Trojanettes win fourth straight

After a 2-12 start to the season, the Windthorst Trojanettes (6-12, 2-0) seem to have turned the corner, winning four in a row. Included in those four-straight victories is a 2-0 start to District 9-2A play after a 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-14) sweep of Petrolia on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Windthorst.

Lady Eagles keep winning

As the late Al Davis famously said, ‘Just win, baby.’

The 18th-ranked Holliday Lady Eagles (14-3, 6-0) have done just that, posting their 11th-straight win by downing Childress in a 3-0 sweep on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Holliday.

The winning streak dates back to a 3-0 sweep of Burkburnett on Aug. 25. During the run, the Lady Eagles have dropped just one set – a 25-23 third set on the road at Henrietta – while winning 33. Currently, Holliday has won 16-straight sets.
