Truette homers in Wildcat win

Body The Archer City Wildcats split their first district series of the season, taking on the Petrolia Pirates on Tuesday, March 18 and Friday, March 21. Freshman shortstop Seth Truette showed early promise as he hit the team’s first home run of the season.

Trojanettes steamroll Seymour

Body The Windthorst Trojanettes opened up district play with a 10-0 thrashing over the Seymour Lady Panthers on Thursday, March 13. The team piled on a combined 11 hits in just five total innings.

Hoegger aiming for state medal

Body Being the best at a specialized event in track and field is tough business. It takes hours and hours of practice of doing the same movements with very slight tweaks, hoping to shave even a tenth of a second, or add another quarter inch to throw or height.

No Seniors? No problem for Trojanettes

Body Last season, the Trojanettes had just one senior and a crew of freshmen and sophomore players filling the roster. One year later, that senior is gone, and those same athletes, now juniors and sophomores, will be expected to lead the way this season.

Windthorst Basketball Recap

Body Trojanettes The Trojanettes continued their streak of playoff appearances in basketball, despite losing heavy-hitters Rylee Wolf and Cameron Belcher, both 1000 career point scorers, to graduation.
