Eagles kick off district with Iowa Park split

The Holliday Eagles battled with the Iowa Park Hawks on Monday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 11. Under the shining sun while both schools are on Spring Break. After suffering a home loss, the Eagles got revenge and picked up their first district win of the season.

Lady Eagles clash with Lady Hawks

The Holliday Lady Eagles and the Iowa Park Lady Hawks battled in district softball action on Monday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 11. Kirkland walks off again For the second time this season, sophomore outfielder Sammi Kirkland drove in the game-winning run against as district opponent, this time the Lady Hawks were the receivers of that hit.

Trojans go 2-2 in Rooster Classic

The Windthorst Trojans hosted their annual Rooster Classic Baseball Tournament from Thursday, March 6, to Friday, March 7. Taking on three Class 3A teams and one 2A, the Trojans finished the tournament 2-2.

County Teams compete in Iowa Park Invitational

From Thursday, Feb. 27 to Saturday, Mar. 1, the Archer City Lady Cats, Holliday Lady Eagles, and the Windthorst Trojanettes participated in the Iowa Park Softball Invitational held in Iowa Park, as well as the Wichita Falls Softball Complex. All three teams took on a variety of opponents, ranging from 2A all the way to 5A.

Holliday splits with Jacksboro

The Holliday Lady Eagles and the Jacksboro Tigerettes faced off in the first district softball series of the year on Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Mar. 4. After dropping the first game to the Tigerettes in Jacksboro, Holliday climbed back late in the second game to even the series at 1-1.

ACN Girls BBall Elite 8

After a basketball season that featured a host of new faces take the court for Archer City, Holliday, and Windthorst, all three teams managed to still make the playoffs, with the Trojanettes even taking home a Bi-District round trophy.
