A plea from a resident over a $1,000 water bill sparked broader discussion on sewer rates and hardship exceptions Monday, March 2, as the Holliday City Council voted to delay action on proposed rate increases while exploring possible policy changes for water leaks and residents on fixed incomes.

Incumbent Randy Jackson and newcomers Justin Coleman and Kyle Morris won their respective primaries on March 3, according to unofficial results. The primary election was held Tuesday, March 3, with early voting conducted from Feb.
