Archer County Judge Randy Jackson announced that Vesper Energy plans to develop a 2,300-acre Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) just south of Archer City on DeMoss Road during the Archer County Commissioner’s Court meeting on Monday, May 11.

Over 40 Holliday community members attended the Holliday ISD School Board meeting on Monday, May 11 to express their support for current Holliday High School softball coach Billy Arbogast after a vacancy for his position was posted on Region 9’s website that same Monday.

Holliday High School captured the Region 1-3A Academic Championship with 236 points at the University Interscholastic League regional meet held April 24-25 at Abilene Christian University. Holliday finished ahead of Tuscola Jim Ned, which scored 214 points, and Canadian, which placed third with 106.
