Hello, my name is Kurt Wolf, and I am a lifelong resident of Archer County. I have been married to my wife, Summer, for nearly 23 years, and together we have three children: Katy, Wyatt, and Charlee. Archer County is not just where I live-it is where I was raised, where I built my home, and where my roots run deep.

I have served as the Archer County Judge since 2015. I have been a small business owner since college. I have never been an employee, I have always been a decision maker. My financial decisions have affected me, my employees and their families. I have learned from mistakes and successes.

Hello Archer County, my name is Cory Glassburn and I currently serve as Mayor of Lakeside City, Texas. I’ve had the honor to serve my community and Archer County in this role for 10 years. Whenever someone asks why I want to be the Archer County Judge, it takes me back to why I chose to serve as Mayor. Simply put, it’s because I want to make a difference in the same community where I live, where I have my family, my friends, pay taxes, support the local schools, and volunteer when someone in our county needs assistance.

Early voting for the March 3 primary elections will begin Tuesday, Feb. 17, and continue through Friday, Feb.

The Windthorst ISD school board voted against a resolution installing a period of prayer and reading of the Bible or other religious text during its board meeting on Monday, Feb. 9.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court met Monday, Feb. 9, to discuss ambulance service options and the possibility of relocating the Archer Family Clinic in Archer City.

The Holliday School Board were updated on the status of several HVAC units across the school district in their monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 9.

The Sheriff’s Office has received 377 calls for service in the past two weeks. As this report is being written there are 25 inmates 3 being female in the Archer County Jail.
