The Archer County Junior Livestock Show will debut a new show schedule for its 2026 edition with 8 of the 14 events having their showtimes adjusted. ACJLS board president Jason Austin said the board was going through complaints of the previous year and is hoping some of those complaints can be addressed with these new adjustments.

There were a ton of memorable moments from this sports season for the three Archer County high schools. From competing at state to performing awe-inspiring plays on the gridiron, hardwood, and diamond, Archer County athletes have a knack to rise to the top when the moment calls for it.

The Archer County Commissioner’s Court approved the county’s property and casualty insurance for 2026 during its meeting on Monday, Dec. 22.
