Livestock Skill-AThon contestants rotated through a series of 10 stations with at 10 minutes each station covering livestock equipment, livestock breeds, feedstuff identification, meat judging, wool judging, feed tag knowledge, quality assurance, retail meat identification, hay judging, and an industry quiz.

Oncor awards $20,000 to two county VFDs

The Lakeside City and Bowman Volunteer Fire Departments recently were awarded $20,000 as part of the Oncor Cares Foundation grant contribution. Oncor Area Manager, Gordon Drake recognized the two county Volunteer Fire Departments for all their dedication and hard work they do protecting the local community with a $20,000 grant from the Oncor Cares Foundation.

District 6-2A D2 Archer City Wildcats It was going to be a year of growing pains for the Archer City Wildcats. After graduating nearly all their statistical leaders on both sides of the ball last season, the young squad relied heavily on their experienced frontline that featured four returning starters.
