Eagles Secure Playoff Bid With Jacksboro Win

Body The Holliday Eagles had one final district series to secure their spot in the Class 3A-D1 playoffs. A win over the Jacksboro Tigers on Tuesday, April 21 or Friday, April 24 guaranteed the No. 2 seed, while a loss put them in a play-in with the Bowie Jackrabbits.

Trojanettes fall to state-ranked Muenster

Body The Windthorst Trojanettes had a tall task for their Bi-District round series on Thursday, April 23, and Saturday, April 25 in Bowie. Their reward for finishing second in District 9-2A and taking the second seed in the Division 2 bracket was the stateranked Muenster Lady Hornets.

Wildcats Secure First-Seed for 2A-D1

Body Going into their final district series of the season versus the Seymour Panthers, the Archer City Wildcats needed to win just one of those games to claim the top spot in the 2A-D2 playoffs.

Trojans Win Distr ict Title, Again

Body It has been a banner year for the Windthorst Trojans this season. Not only did they win the district championships in football, basketball, cross-county, and track, but they also closed out district baseball a perfect 10-0 to claim the District 9-2A title.

Lady Eagles Go Undefeated in Distr ict 7-3A

Body The Holliday Lady Eagles’ quest to go undefeated in district as well as win the district championship came down to the final two games against the Bowie Lady Rabbits on Tuesday, April 14 and Friday, April 17.

Lady Eagles Fly Past Trojanettes

Body The Holliday Lady Eagles and the Windthorst Trojanettes battled in an impromptu warmup game before playoffs on Monday, April 20. Both teams showed off their ability to batter softballs as they combined for 25 hits.
