Eagles second half comeback attempt falls short

Body It was a highly-anticipated rematch on Friday, Sept 26, as the Holliday Eagles hosted the Jim Ned Indians on Homecoming to finish out their pre-district schedule. Coming into the game, the Indians gave up just 20 points a game, while Holliday averaged 52 points per game.

Trojans bounce back against Alvord

Body The Trojans bounced back in a big way on Friday, Sept. 19. After a 53-13 loss to Muenster a week prior, Windthorst whipped the Alvord Bulldogs 42-23 at home. 14 of the Bulldogs’ points came in the fourth quarter, when they were down 42-9.

Lady Eagles top Trojanettes in heavyweight match

Body It was an intra-county volleyball battle on Monday, Sept. 22 as the #8 3A Holliday Lady Eagles hosted the #5 ranked Windthorst Trojanettes. Despite the 3-1 victory by the Lady Eagles, the two clashed in four close contests that very easily could’ve went either way.
