The Archer City council held discussions about the next steps necessary to address staffing and budget concerns for the Archer City Ambulance Service during its meeting Tuesday, June 21. Mayor Jake Truette had originally stated that he would like to see the old business agenda item to be placed back on the agenda come budget time.

As it has done in the past, Archer City cast its spell over writers who came to the town June 9-12 to soak in the atmosphere and learn from other writers during the Archer City Writers Workshop 2022 session.

The Archer County Museum and Arts Center held a children's passport event prior to the Archer County Rodeo Parade on Saturday, June 18. The passport included four activity stations. The Lakeside City council tabled starting the process of the annexation of eight acres on Kemp Boulevard and Hwy. 79 into its city limits during its Monday, June 20, until they can get a few more questions answered on the project.

Well June has arrived, and that means rodeo time in Archer County. The Archer County Rodeo Association will present the 76th Annual Archer County Rodeo and Ranch Rodeo June 16 through 18 at the Archer County Rodeo Arena.
