The city of Windthorst will be hosting a townwide cleanup from Thursday, May 19, through Saturday, May 21. The cleanup event will run from 9 a.m.

Jenna Veitenheimer, of Scotland, received the Catholic Life Insurance All American Scholar Award. Veitenheimer, who is the daughter of Laurie and Kenneth Veitenheimer, is a senior at Windthorst High School. She will attend Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls this fall. New representatives elected for five entities

The city of Archer City, Archer City ISD, city of Windthorst, Windthorst ISD and city of Holliday saw new faces chosen to represent the voters in the May 7 election. In the city of Archer City mayoral race, Jake Truette received 206 votes, or 81.10%, to succeed Kelvin Green.
City of Holliday discusses aftermath of Police Chief Chunn's passing

The Holliday City Council discussed what actions the city has taken since Police Chief Joe Chunn’s death and what actions may still need to occur during its council meeting Monday, May 9.
