Trojans unable to conquer Indians

The Windthorst Trojans voyaged to the home of the Nocona Indians to face off in district basketball on Friday, Feb. 2. The 4-2 Trojans were coming off a three-game win streak and looked to keep the race for second place in district alive, while the undefeated Indians intended to continue their unbeaten streak and remain at the top of the food chain.

Panthers claw past Cats

The Archer City Wildcats took on the Seymour Panthers in district action on Friday, Feb. 2. The 2-4 Wildcats were fighting for a playoff spot coming into the game and looked to make that jump over the fourthplace Petrolia Pirates, while the Panthers looked secure the second-place spot with a victory.

Wildcats previal over Cubs

The Archer City Wildcats clashed with the Olney Cubs on Tuesday, Jan. 30. With both teams starting their second half of district play, the Wildcats looked to bag their second win in district and continue to contend for the fourth-place spot that was held by the Petrolia Pirates, while Olney was still searching for their first win in district.

Windthorst halts Pirates

The Windthorst Trojanettes welcomed the Petrolia Lady Pirates in district action on Tuesday, Jan 30. The 7-1 Trojanettes looked to strengthen their grasp on second place in district with a win over a Lady Pirates team that was fighting to keep their fourth-place spot. Petrolia kept the game close in the first quarter, but it was all Windthorst for the rest of the game, with the Trojanettes winning comfortably 77-21.
