Body Archer City juniors Maddie Lopez and Bailey Grant finished third and sixth, respectively, at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association state meet in Corpus Christi on Thursday, March 18.

Body Jill Liles amd Cade Strickland won a championship in mixed doubles at day one of the Seymour Tournament on Monday, March 15. Chase Curry won the boys singles championship. Layne Briggs and Luke Haehn took second place in boys doubles.

Body Tuesday, March 9 Archer City 12, Graford 2 (Game 1) Maddie Lopez went 2-for-4 with a home run and a triple and Emma Gray went 2-for-3 with a double as the Lady Cats downed Graford 12-2. Jill Liles (4-7) struck out 10 while allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks.

Body Tuesday, March 9 Holliday 10, Jacksboro 0 Holliday senior Hadley Harrigal (2-1) tossed the Eagles’ second no-hitter in the last two weeks in a 10-0 rout of Jacksboro. The right-hander needed just 74 pitches to complete the feat, allowing two walks while punching out eight.
