Body Holliday’s Makayla Smith and Carson Hall each posted top-15 finishes at the Shady Oaks Golf Course in Baird for the Region I-3A tournament while Archer City’s Kameron Moss, Shae Parr and Katelyn Casillas competed at the Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris in the Region II-2A meet.

Seven qualify for State track and field meet

Body All three county high schools will be well-represented at the UIL State Track & Field Meet in Austin on May 6 and 7. Holliday saw a trio of athletes advance while Archer City and Windthorst each had two post top-two finishes at the regional meets on April 23-24.

Body Archer City and Windthorst’s girls both performed well at the District 9/10-2A Area Meet on Wednesday, April 14, in Graham. The Trojanettes finished fourth behind Haskell (136) and Stamford (109) with 67 points while the Lady Cats came in eighth with 28 points.
