Body Archer County was very well represented on the Texas Sports Writer’s Association all-state football and volleyball squads. A total of 18 athletes were selected between Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst.

Body For the second-straight year, District 9-2A had a rough showing in the bi-district round of the postseason. The district saw all four teams eliminated on Monday night with the closest contest, Windthorst against Cisco, decided by 13 points.

Body Four Archer County coaches have been tabbed to coach in the 85th Oil Bowl Classic on June 17-18. The event serves as an allstar game for recent high school graduates in football, volleyball and basketball.
