Hawley’s Diontay Ramon banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Bearcats to a 66-63 bi-district win over Archer City. Ramon took the inbound pass with three seconds remaining, dribbled up mid-court before pulling up at the 3-point line. The Bearcats sophomore fired off the game-winning attempt with under a second remaining. The ball bounced off the backboard and through the hoop.

Archer County was very well represented on the Texas Sports Writer’s Association all-state football and volleyball squads. A total of 18 athletes were selected between Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst.
