Boys Paradise 53, Holliday 44 Nathan Williams scored 13 points as the Eagles dropped a 53-44 decision to Paradise on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Albany scored 14 points off a pair of Windthorst interceptions that proved to be the difference maker in the Trojans’ 28-14 Class 2A-DII Region II Final loss to the Lions. Windthorst’s state title defense comes to an end following a 12-2 campaign.

Gunter’s defense forced eight three-and-outs and limited Holliday to just four first downs in a 35-14 win for the Tigers in the Class 3A-DII Region II Final at Northwest Stadium in Justin on Friday, Dec. 3.

It’s not often you see a defense completely dominate an opponent with the innovative offenses you see nowadays. It’s even more rare to see it in the regional semifinals.

After a tremendous year on the volleyball courts for all three Archer County schools, these athletes deserve a little extra recognition. Every one of these athletes and their teammates deserve much more recognition and praise than I can give them. We had a great season with all three schools making the playoffs with Archer City and Holliday advancing to the regional tournament. Without further ado, here’s the ACN Super 10 volleyball team.
