Canada returns for Wildcats' cross country

Colton Canada and Kassidy Marin were regional qualifiers last year with a second and sixth place finish in the district competition, respectively. Both are back this year to try to move up in the ranks of regional runners.

Canada, a senior, will make a last run at a chance to qualify for state competition. Marin, a sophomore, hopes to make a strong showing at the District 9-2A on Oct. 13 in Seymour with another regional qualifying run.

Trojanettes split matches at Lu Allen Tournament

Windthorst (8-7) is coming off a 4-4 week after splitting a dual match with Burkburnett and Vernon on Tuesday before traveling to the Lu Allen Tournament in Graham on Friday and Saturday. In the midweek action, the Trojanettes suffered a 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 9-25, 25-19) setback to the Lady Dogs before bouncing back with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-21) sweep of the Lady Lions.

Lady Eagles runner-up at Bev Ball Classic

Third-ranked Holliday got off to a blistering start to its 2021 campaign, rattling off seven straight wins before suffering its first setback of the year. The Lady Eagles breezed through pool play and the early rounds of the bracket before running into defending state champion Bushland in the finals.

Trojanettes off to hot start

Windthorst is off to a solid start in the 2021 volleyball season, picking up several high-profile wins to kick off the year at the Cool in Boomtown tournament in Burkburnett. Lady Cats win consolation crown at Cool in Boomtown

Archer City won the gold consolation bracket at the Cool in Boomtown tournament in Burkburnett this past weekend. The Lady Cats go into the second week of the season with a 4-3 record and travel to Graham for the Lu Allen Memorial Tournament this weekend.
